This wonderful family contacted me as they were celebrating their parents 40th Anniversary at their lake home in Park Rapids. Just as I headed out to their portrait session, the darkest most ominious sky's apeared out of nowhere and it rained as hard as it possibly could.. until I pulled into their driveway and voila.. sun and perfect shooting weather.. whew!!! We wound up with some beautiful portraits of their time together!

Shooting portraits outdoors means never knowing what mother nature will have in store.... like this portrait session. I headed over to their property, set up my lights and the sky opened up and said oh not you don't. Plan B, pack up, reschedule for the next a.m., back into the same outfits and wow.. we captured these amazing portraits. This family is located all over the United States and it is VERY rare that they are all able to get together.. They now have some beautiful memories of their well deserved time spent together!

This summer was one of the busiest summers yet... I met families from all over the country that came to the Walker, Nevis and Park Rapids area for family vacations, reunions, anniversaries.. you name it. The opportunity to work with families is one of the highlights of my job as it brings me to different lakes, resorts and lake homes that living here, I would not normally ever visit, plus I get to meet and work with some of the NICEST people.

Future hockey players ...

oh heavens.. check out these 2 kiddos.. I have been photographing these little brothers since they were teeny tiny. It's sooo much fun to watch them grow and to see their personalities develop along with their hobbies and interests. I'm thinking we for sure have a couple of hockey players in our future.. but first.. I can't get enough of the CUTE hats they are wearing while picking my flowers.. oh sooo sweet!
